Special Nights at the Lights

At the end of the ride through Price Chopper/Market 32 Capital Holiday Lights, Albany PAL welcomes everyone to visit the Lake House filled with crafts, refreshments and special friends including Rudolph. Santa will be there through Dec. 23 to hear the holiday wishes of the little ones.

Please Note: The Washington Park Lake House will be closed on December 24, 25, 31, & January 1-3.

Celebrating a Special Occasion? Book your special visit through the Price Chopper/Market 32 Capital Holiday Lights and take advantage of a horse-drawn carriage, trolley, limousine, or your preferred mode of transportation! Celebrate your event in Lights on our digital display board by contacting Sherry at 518-435-0392.

Horse drawn carriage rides are offered Wednesday through Sunday evenings at the Madison Avenue entrance to the Park by Saratoga Horse and Carriage. For more information or reservations contact (518) 573-3198.

Friday, November 17—5 pm – Join Mayor Kathy Sheehan, Santa and other special guests as we throw the switch and “Light Up the Holidays” for our 21st year!


TASTE OF THE HOLIDAYS EVENTS 

Saturday, November 18—3-7pm:  Albany PAL presents its Craft Beer, Wine & Spirits Festival at the Lights; enjoy music, tasting and, of course, the Lights on beautiful Washington Park Lake! Must be 21 to attend; ID required. Tickets only $25.00 in advance at www.albanypal.org or $45.00 at the door.

Sunday, Nov. 19 – 4-7pm: Chili, Chowder & Soup Fest - change to: Join us for the Capital Region’s hottest seasonal event, featuring samples from many of your favorite restaurants, taverns & delis! Music, crafters, Santa & more! Tickets only $7.00 for Adults/$3.00 children 10 & under in advance at www.albanypal.org, or $12.00 Adults/$5.00 children 10 & under at the door.

Monday, November 20—5-7pm – Join us for our Pet Walk Night. Take your pet for a walk around the Lake as part of a walk-only Charity Walk Night to benefit our local Charities of Choice for 2017. Suggested donations $5.00 per person or $10.00 per family.

Tuesday Nov. 21 through Thursday, Nov. 23- Happy Thanksgiving! Santa and his elves are making the final preparations to the lights to be sure they are perfect for the Capital Region; the Show will be closed so our other volunteers may enjoy the holiday with their family. SEE YOU ON FRIDAY AS WE CELEBRATE OUR GRAND OPENING!

Friday, Nov. 24 – GRAND OPENING!! The Lights are on and we welcome the 21st Annual Price Chopper/Market 32 Capital Holiday Lights in the Park open every night through January 2 (Lake House Closed Dec. 24, 25, and final Lake House Night Dec. 30) Sunday through Thursday 6-9pm, Friday and Saturday 6-10pm.

Alzheimer’s Association of NENY - The Alzheimer's Association is a global organization, working to advance care, support and research across the world. From face-to-face support to online education programs and promising worldwide research initiatives, the money raised makes a difference in the lives of those families and individuals living with Alzheimer's.

The Albany Fund for Education - Since its inception in 1998, the Albany Fund for Education (AFE) has brought forward new ideas, approaches and funding to support the children of the Albany City School District. AFE enhances opportunities for students to learn, grow and succeed through building community partnerships, fundraising, and investing in innovative and effective programs that build equity and strengthen the educational infrastructure of Albany public schools.

Soldier On - Soldier On is a nationally recognized non-profit organization working in partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs and other agencies to provide veterans with shelter and support in an environment that offers dignity, integrity and, most importantly, hope.


Bike Night at the Lights
Sunday, Nov. 26 -- Hosting folks on bicycles on this special night. Donation is $5 per bike and $10 per family. From 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. ONLY.

Sunday Nights –
Join us on each Sunday for Family Nights as the first 100 children receive a special prize courtesy of Albany PAL!

Albany Broadcasting Nights at the Lights
Join your favorite Albany Broadcasting stations for fun Remote Nights at the Lights! B95.5, JAMZ 96.3, FLY 92.3, 100.9 The Cat and Magic 590 AM are taking turns keeping Santa company at the Show; stop by and see them for prizes and giveaways!
