Welcome to the Official Web Site for the Capital Holiday Lights in the Park, presented by the Albany PAL, the City of Albany, and Hannaford Supermarkets, celebrating its 11th year of lighting up the nights in Albany’s historic Washington Park!
Each holiday season, since 1997, the Albany Police Athletic League (PAL) along with our many partners and volunteers have transformed Albany’s Washington Park into a winter wonderland of lights and festivity!
The 2007 show is an all-new, drive-through spectacular with everyone watching for the most famous reindeer of all – Rudolph.
At the end of your drive through the Lights, the Washington Park Lake House comes alive. Join your favorite reindeer and friends as they bring fun and mystery to the holiday season. Rudolph will be hiding throughout the Park, and your little ones can enter a special drawing to guess the number of Rudolphs on display throughout the park. A winner will be drawn from the correct entries for a special holiday prize. Entries can be placed at the trellis in the Lake House.
With more than 130 displays and scenes, searching for Red-Nosed Reindeer is just part of the magic as the Albany Police Athletic League (PAL) invites everyone to get into the spirit of the season with the Capital Region’s foremost holiday event – Capital Holiday Lights in the Park.
The best part of the 11th Annual Capital Holiday Lights in the Park is that all proceeds benefit the juvenile crime prevention programs of the Albany Police Athletic League (PAL)!
